Key Words
- summer camp — a place where young people stay and do activities during the school holidays
- journey — the act of travelling from one place to another
- tidy — neat and well arranged, not messy
- museum — a building where interesting or historical objects are shown to the public
- photo — a picture taken with a camera
Useful Language
- Articles — a, an, the: a long time, on the way.
- Prepositions of place — in a room, at camp.
- Present simple after before — before we go to bed (not “will go”).
- Object pronouns — you, them: I emailed you; you’ll like them.
Exam Tip
In Part 5 you complete a short text or email. You write one word in each of the six gaps — there are no choices to pick from. The missing words are usually small grammar words such as articles (a, the), prepositions (in), verbs after time words (before we go), and object pronouns (you, them). Read the whole email first, then check that your word fits the grammar and is spelled correctly.
