A1 Level

Here are free materials that are for students at an elementary level of English. This will probably be suitable for students in their first year of English studies. There are many exercises on grammar and vocabulary as well as whole text activities. We also provide test practice activity for students who are preparing for A1 Movers which is part of Cambridge Assessment English YL tests.

Elementary level activities available:

We add elementary reading and writing exercises on a regular basis. Why not bookmark our site, so you can come back to practice anywhere or at any time of the day?
In addition, we add elementary listening and speaking exercises in order to practise for this part of the A1 Movers test.
The more words you encounter and understand, the broader your day-to-day vocabulary will become. Our word games and puzzles are an excellent way to help to reinforce spellings in your mind.

 

Especially helpful are exercises that are focussed on a theme or topic as these provide word retention practice so you can be confident to read, write, speak and listen successfully at an elementary level of English,

There are materials specifically concerned with a particular grammar structure at this elementary level of English. The main structures at this level are the Past Simple, Present Continuous and structures for the future tense.

At this elementary level, there are materials concerned with basic English communication to provide confidence to understand at this basic level of English.

Here are resources at this elementary level that will give students practice in reading and writing. The reading materials are reading comprehensions but can be easily adapted for other reading practice. At this low level, the writing materials are generally guided writings.
