In this example, you have been asked to write an informal email to a friend about your experience organizing a birthday party for your younger brother because your parents were delayed abroad.
This is an example of Exercise 6 where you write approximately 150–200 words of continuous prose, in response to a short stimulus (which may take the form of pictures) and/or short prompts. The question includes information on the purpose, format and audience.
In the email, you asked to include the following:
- Describe how you felt when you realised that you had to organise the party yourself
- Tell your friend about the party.
- Say whether you thought the party was a success.
