This is A2 Key Reading Part 3 Section 1 Set 8 practice for the Cambridge Assessment English (KET) examination.

This is Set 5 practice for the Cambridge Assessment English A2 KEY Reading & Writing (KET) examination. This about Francis asking Petro if he wants to run in a race with him.

This is the second part of Part 3 which is a longer conversation, but some sentences are missing. You have a list of sentences and you have to find the right sentence for each space. This part of the examination assesses your ability to read and find the right answer for everyday conversations.

Run in a race

For questions, 1-5 choose the correct answer from the choices available.

Example:

Francis: Petro, have you heard about the of 'Run the Hour Race'?

Petro: No, I haven't, Francis. Why?

Francis: Well, it's a running race for all ages. Would you like to run with me?

Petro: (1)

Francis: It's not until July. We've got plenty of time.

Petro: (2)

Francis: Not yet. I need a running buddy.

Petro: (3)

Francis: Maybe we could run 10km. You can do that, can't you?

Petro: (4)

Francis: Great! Are you free tomorrow morning at 7 o’clock?

Petro: (5)

Francis: OK. I'll meet you in the park at 8.00.
