A2 Key Reading Part 4 Set 1

A2 Key Reading Part 4 Set 1 is practice for the Cambridge Assessment English A2 KEY Reading & Writing (KET) examination. This is about the problems people are facing with social media.

This is a long text. You have to decide if sentences are Right, Wrong, or Doesn’t say. This part of the examination assesses your ability to read to understand the detail and main ideas of a text.
Problems with Social Media

Read the article about social media. Are questions 1-7 'Right (A) or 'Wrong' (B)?

If there is not enough information to answer 'Right' (A) or "Wrong' (B) choose 'Doesn't say' (C).

Social Media

Some people are saying that social media is harming our lives. Twenty years ago, people talked to each other, but now they message instead of talk. Many people worry too much about what others think. They post photos and want everyone to like the photo and they get sad if people do not like it.

Maybe people should take a break from social media to live real life. It would be better for people to like each other instead of liking online 'likes'. Also, there is a lot of fake news or posts telling lies about people. This is a global problem.

Several parents are banning their children from using social media, but it not all bad as it helps to connect people in the world.
