Set 4 of our practice exercises Part 3 of the Cambridge English B1 Preliminary Writing Section. This is an example of how to write a short story about someone who receives a phone call. It is set at an Intermediate level of English or B1 on the CEFR Scale.

Please note for the real test, it isn’t a gap exercise. You are asked to write a story using about 100 words.
