Pre A1 Starters Reading Part 1 Test 5 practice for the Cambridge Assessment English Pre A1 Starters (YLE) exam. You should read short sentences and recognize words.

For Pre A1 Part 1 Test 5, there are five pictures of objects. Under each picture there is a sentence which begins ‘This is a …’ or ‘These are …’. If the sentence is correct, you should choose right below the picture. If the sentence is not right, you should choose wrong.

There are resources at a beginner level that will give students practice in reading and writing. The reading materials are reading comprehensions but can be easily adapted for other reading practice. At this low level, the writing materials are generally guided writings.
