Listening Part 2
In this A2 Key Listening Part 2 activity, you will listen to a teacher giving information about a Science Club. Your task is to complete the missing words in a set of notes. This exercise is designed to help A2-level English learners improve their listening comprehension and note-taking skills.

Exam Tip

Part 2: Science Club
You will hear Mr Wilson talking to a group of students about a science club. For each question, write the correct answer in the gap. Write one word, a number, a date, or a time.
Mr Wilson Right, everyone, gather round! I’m Mr Wilson, and I want to tell you about our Newton Science Club. I’m really excited about this new club, and I hope some of you will want to join us.
We meet every Wednesday at lunchtime for students aged 13 to 16. That covers most of you here today, I think! We start at one o’clock and finish at a quarter to two, so you’ll still have time to eat your lunch before afternoon lessons.
In the club, we do lots of exciting experiments — things you can’t do in normal science lessons because we don’t have time. We also have competitions between teams to see who can solve science problems the fastest. It’s great fun!
The cost is only twelve dollars per month, and that includes all the materials for experiments. We also organise trips to interesting places. In fact, our next trip is to the Space Museum in Washington, DC — I know that will be popular!
We already have fifteen members, but we can take more. If you’re interested, just come to the science laboratory next Wednesday at one o’clock. No need to bring anything special, just yourself.
