🎯 What you’ll practise

Speaking — bringing together everything from this term.

🎙️ What to do

Record yourself for about a minute. Talk about yourself using language from the whole course — try to include something from each unit:

  • your name, age, and where you’re from (Unit 1)
  • your school day and favourite subject (Units 2–3)
  • what you like doing in your free time (Unit 4)
  • your favourite food and drink (Unit 5)
  • your town and your home (Units 6–7)

🗣️ Example

Hi! My name is Mia and I’m 12. I’m from Spain. I usually go to school at 8 o’clock, and my favourite subject is Art. In my free time, I love drawing and playing football. My favourite food is pizza. I live in a small town with a park near my house, and I have got one brother.

📥 How to submit

  • Use the built-in audio recorder to record your voice.
  • Re-record as many times as you like before you download it.
  • Try to speak clearly and slowly.
  • Send the file to your teacher or a friend for feedback.

🧑‍🏫 For teachers

A good end-of-term diagnostic — listen for range across the seven topics, plus fluency and pronunciation.

🎯 What you’ll practise

Writing — putting the whole term together in one paragraph.

✏️ What to do

Write a paragraph (about 70–90 words) about yourself, using what you’ve learned this term. Try to use one idea from each unit. These starters can help:

  • My name is __________ and I am __________ years old. (Unit 1)
  • On school days, I __________. My favourite subject is __________. (Units 2–3)
  • In my free time, I like __________. (Unit 4)
  • My favourite food is __________. (Unit 5)
  • I live in __________. There is a __________ near my home. (Unit 6)
  • I have got __________ in my family. (Unit 7)

📝 Example paragraph

My name is Leo and I am 13 years old. On school days, I get up at 7 and my favourite subject is Science. In my free time, I like playing basketball and listening to music. My favourite food is noodles. I live in a small city, and there is a library near my home. I have got two sisters, and we watch films together at the weekend.
