Warm up: Getting to know you
Write down 5 to 7 sentences that include:
Your name or nickname
Where are you from
Your hobbies or interests
Your favourite food or music
One fun or interesting fact about yourself
Example:
Hi! My name is Mai. I’m from Hanoi, Vietnam. In my free time, I love reading fantasy books and playing the piano. My favourite food is pizza, and I enjoy listening to K-pop music. A fun fact about me is that I have been learning piano since I was six years old!
📖 A New Friend
Hi! My name is Linh, and I’m fifteen years old. I live in Da Nang, a beautiful city in Vietnam. I go to a big high school near my house. Every morning, I wake up at 6:00 a.m., have a quick breakfast, and ride my bike to school. My favourite subjects are English and history because I love learning about different cultures.
After school, I usually spend some time doing my homework. Then, I play badminton with my friends at the park. Playing sports helps me relax and stay healthy. In the evening, I often listen to pop music or read fantasy novels. Sometimes, I write short stories when I feel creative. On weekends, I like visiting my grandparents and helping them in their garden.
One fun fact about me is that I can play three musical instruments: the piano, the guitar, and the ukulele! Music is a big part of my life, and I hope to join a band one day.
