Where did Alex find the shell?
A: This shell’s beautiful, Alex. You can find lots of beautiful shells on the beach.
B: Yeah, and sometimes you find them near waterfalls.
A: That’s right.
B: Yeah. But I found this one in a different place. In the river. Isn’t that great?
A: Wow, I am surprised.
Can you see the letter A? Now you listen and write a letter in each box.
One. Which animal is Jack’s new pet?
C: I have a new pet.
D: Is it a frog?
C: No, it isn’t. I wanted a puppy, but I got a rabbit.
D: Do you like it?
C: Yes, it’s a good pet.
Two. Where does Harry’s mother work?
E: Hello, Harry. Where is your mother going?
F: Oh, she’s catching the bus to town. She’s going to work.
E: Oh, does she work at the library next to the bank?
F: No, she works at the hospital. She’s a doctor.
Three. What’s the matter with Jane?
G: What’s the matter, Jane? Have you got a stomach ache?
H: No, my stomach is fine.
G: Well, are you hot? Have you got a temperature?
H: No, I’ve got a toothache.
Four: What can Harry carry?
I: Harry, can you help me?
J: Yes, Miss Brown. Can I carry those pens for you?
I: No, I can put them in my bag.
J: Well, can I help you with that book?
I: I can carry it. Please pick up those pencils and take them to the library.
J: Okay.
Five: Which vegetables does Alice choose?
K: Mum, did you cook fish for dinner?
L: Yes. Which vegetable would you like? I’ve got some carrots.
K: No, we had carrots yesterday.
L: Well, you can have onions or peas.
K: Let’s have peas.
L: Great choice, luv. I’ll make some mushy peas, then.
K: Thanks, mum.
