Different Toys
This Pre A1 Listening Part 4 activity helps students know different toys by listening for their names, locations, and colours. Learners hear about a robot on the bed, a puppet on the door, and more. Afterwards, they write the correct colour for each one. Perfect for learners at a beginner level.

Listen and Write the Colours
You will hear a woman and boy talking about a picture with different toys.
Pre A1 Listening Part 4 (Transcript)
Look at the picture. Six different toys are in different places. Listen to the conversation. Write the colour and name of the hat below. There is one example. You will hear the conversation twice.
Example
Woman: Look at the toy on the chair near the window.
Boy: Oh yes, it’s green.
Woman: Yes, that’s the toy car.
Boy: A green toy car on the chair!
Question 1
Woman: Can you see the tall blue toy on the bed?
Boy: Yes, it’s at the end of the bed.
Woman: That’s the robot.
Boy: A blue robot!
Question 2
Woman: What about the toy on the floor next to the bed?
Boy: It’s yellow!
Woman: That’s the teddy bear.
Boy: A yellow teddy bear next to the bed.
Question 3
Woman: Do you see the big orange toy on the shelf above the bed?
Boy: Yes, it’s really big!
Woman: That’s the ball.
Boy: An orange ball!
Question 4
Woman: Now look at the red toy on the table next to the hat
Boy: Yes!
Woman: That’s the train.
Boy: A red train!

Woman: Can you find the brown toy on the door?
Boy: Yes, it’s hanging there.
Woman: That’s a puppet.
Boy: A brown puppet on the door!
Now listen to it again.
