playgroundAt the playground listening practice for the Cambridge Assessment English Pre A1 Starters (YLE) exam  where you will hear two people talking about a playground picture. Put the colours in the right places on the picture.

Look at the picture. Listen and look. There is one example.

A: Can you see the playground? Would you like to colour the picture?
B: Okay
A: Can you see the truck next to the tree?
B: Right, so it’s next to the tree.
A: Can you put red on it?
B: Yeah, OK.

Can you see the red truck next to the tree? This is an example. Now you listen and put the colour on the trucks.

Question 1
A: Okay. Now can you see the boy and the girl?
B: Yeah, the boy has got a helicopter.
A: That’s right. There’s a truck between the boy and the girl.
B: OK, yeah. There it is.
A: Can you put the colour blue on it?
B: OK. I’m putting blue on it now.

Question 2
A: Look. There’s a truck behind the boy.
B: So, which boy are you talking about?
A: The boy, who is catching a ball.
B: Oh, yeah. I can see him.
A: So, please put pink on it.
B: OK.

Question 3
A: So, what next?
B: Now, can you see the two girls?
A: Yeah, they’re jumping.
B: And can you see the truck?
A: Yeah, it’s in front of that girl. Can I put purple on it?
B: Yes, OK. Put purple on it then.

Question 4
A: Right. Now there’s a truck in the girl’s bag. Can you see it?
B: Well, I can see the girl. She’s sitting under a tree.
A: That’s right. And the bag is next to her.
B: Oh yeah. There it is.
A: Can you see the truck in the girl’s bag?
B: Yeah. Can I put a colour on it?
A: Yes. Put yellow on it then.
B: Okay, there you go.

Question 5
A: Right, this is the last one. Now find the truck on the wall.
B: The truck on the wall?
A: Yes, that’s right.
B: I can see it. It’s here.
A: Good, now how about putting grey on it?
B: OK. I’m putting grey on it now.
A: Brilliant. Well done indeed.

Now listen to it again.

A: Can you see the people in the living room? Let’s add colour to the picture.
B: Okay
A: Can you see the robot next to the sofa?
B: Yes, it’s on the floor.
A: That’s right. Can you put the colour orange on it?
B: Yeah, OK.

Can you see the orange colour put on the robot next to the sofa? This is an example. Now you listen and add the colour.

Question 1
A: Ok. Now can you see the girl?
B: Yes, she’s drawing a picture.
A: That’s right. There’s a robot under the table.
B: OK, yeah. There it is.
A: Good. Well, put red on it, please.
B: OK. I’m putting red on it now.

Question 2
A: There’s a robot in the bookcase.
B: Where?
A: It’s under the lamp.
B: Can you put yellow on it?
A: OK

Question 3
A: Can you see the boy and the dog?
B: Yes, they’re playing on the floor.
A: And can you see the robot?
B: Yeah, it’s between the boy and the dog.
A: That’s right.
B: Can I put brown on it?
A: Yeah, okay.

Question 4
A: Right. Now find the robot behind the sofa.
B: Behind the sofa?
A: Yeah.
B: OK, Here it is.
A: Do you want to put pink on that robot?
B: OK. Now I’ve put pink on this robot.

Question 5
A: OK. Now there’s a robot on the table. Can you see it?
B: Yes, there it is.
A: That’s right. Put grey on it, please.
B: Grey, okay.
A: Brilliant. You’ve done a great job.

Now listen to it again.
