Part 3: Photography Workshop
You will hear part of a radio programme about a photography course.
Alex Mitchell Good morning and welcome back to City Life Radio. I’m Alex Mitchell and I have some exciting news for photography enthusiasts. The Downtown Arts Centre is running their summer photography workshop again this year.
The course is perfect for beginners and runs for six weeks, starting on Monday the 15th of July. Classes are held every Monday evening from half past seven until nine o’clock. You’ll learn about camera settings, composition, and lighting techniques. The instructor is Maria Santos, who’s been teaching photography for over fifteen years.
Now, about the cost. The full course fee is $280, but if you’re a student or unemployed, you get a discount. The reduced price is just $180, which is excellent value. You need to bring your own camera – any type will work fine.
The course includes two outdoor photography trips at no extra charge. If you’re interested, you need to book soon because places are limited. You can register online or call 01255 4784744. The deadline for registration is Friday the 5th of July, so don’t leave it too late!
Now listen again.
That is the end of B1 Preliminary Listening Part 3. You now have two minutes to check your answers.
