In this A2 Listening Part 5 activity, a boy tells his dad about the space picture he has coloured. Listen and write the colour or word next to each number.

You will hear a boy talking to his dad about a picture he coloured.
N: Part 5. Listen and look. There is one example.
A: Dad, thanks for this great picture of an astronaut exploring space.
B: Amazing! Have you finished colouring it? What did you colour first?
A: I coloured the smallest planet orange.
B: You did a great job.
N: Can you see the number and the colour? This is an example. Now you listen and write the colour or word next to the number.
B: What did you colour next, then?
A: Let me see. It was the rocket ship behind the astronaut. The windows were already silver, so I coloured the nose cone and fins red.
B: That rocket looks incredible now.
A: Dad, look, I also wrote some words on the picture.
B: Yes, Peter. Did you write a word on that space station?
A: Yeah, I did. The big one floating in space.
B: So you wrote the word ‘station’ on it?
A: That’s right. So, Dad, can you see I wrote some more words somewhere else in the picture?
B: I can see, Peter, but let’s talk about the other things you coloured. Did you colour the alien standing on the moon?
A: Yeah, I did. One was already pink, so I coloured the other one green.
B: Great choice.
A: Dad, can you see another word in the picture?
B: Yes, is it on the astronaut’s helmet and space suit?
A: That’s right. I wrote the word ‘NASA’ on his space suit, as it was already printed on his helmet.
B: Another fantastic choice, since he’s a real astronaut.
A: And for the last thing, I coloured the satellites.
B: Yeah, but which one? Do you mean the one near the big planet?
A: No, I don’t mean that one. I added colour to the one floating by the stars.
B: What colour did you use?
A: I only had one colour left, so I put grey on the satellite. The picture looks awesome now, doesn’t it?
B: Yes, it does. You’ve done a brilliant job.
A: Thanks so much, Dad.
