You will hear a boy talking to his uncle about a science project day at school.
N: Part 1. Listen and look. There is one example.
A: Uncle Jack, please have a look at this picture of my class during our science project day.
B: What a great picture. Is that Mr Thompson, your teacher, standing behind?
A: Yes, it was such a fun day last Tuesday. He helped us learn about different science experiments, and we finished with a great project.
N: Can you see the number and the name? This is an example. Now you listen and write the name next to the number.
B: Can you tell me about your friends, then? Who’s this?
A: This is Maya.
B: Is she looking at the volcano experiment?
A: Yes, she is. She’s the one wearing a pink sweater. She was so excited when it erupted with foam.
B: So, who is the boy with the blue shirt and dark hair?
A: That’s Ben. He helped Maya with the experiment.
B: Who is the man behind Ben?
A: That’s our new headmaster. His name is Mr Cameron. Ben is his son.
B: He looks very interested. What about the boy with the glasses?
A: Do you mean the boy with the calculator and maths worksheets?
B: Yes, the one wearing the striped jumper. What’s his name?
A: Oh, yes. That’s Lucas. His sister Chloe is painting a picture behind him, and her other brother is standing behind her. She’s got blonde hair in pigtails. They both love creative subjects, so they often help each other.
B: And what about the girl with curly red hair at the computer?
A: Oh! That’s Nina. She loves using the computer to research different topics for our projects.
B: You look like you had a wonderful science project day at school.
N: Now listen to Part 1 again.
