In this A2 Listening Part 5 activity, a boy tells his dad about the underwater sea-life picture he has coloured. Listen and write the colour or word next to each number.

You will hear a boy talking to his dad about a picture he coloured.
N: Part 5. Listen and look. There is one example.
A: Dad, thanks for this amazing picture of underwater sea life.
B: Wonderful! Have you finished colouring it? What did you colour first?
A: I coloured the seahorse orange.
B: You did a fantastic job.
N: Can you see the number and the colour? This is an example. Now you listen and write a word next to the number.
B: What did you colour next, then?
A: Let me think. It was the diver. His fins were yellow, so I coloured his air tank yellow, too.
B: That diver looks fantastic now.
A: Dad, look, I also wrote some words on the picture.
B: Yes, Peter. Did you write a word on that treasure chest?
A: Yeah, I did. The big one at the bottom of the sea.
B: So you wrote the word ‘treasure’ on it?
A: No, I added the word ‘pirate’ to it, as a pirate probably left the treasure. So, Dad, can you see I wrote some more words somewhere else in the picture?
B: I can see, Peter, but let’s talk about the other things you coloured first. Did you colour the whale swimming near the surface?
A: Yeah, I did. Some of it was already grey, so I coloured the rest of it blue.
B: Excellent choice.
A: Dad, can you see another word in the picture?
B: Yes, is it on the submarine near the coral reef?
A: That’s right. I wrote the word ‘MINI’ on the submarine, since it looked like a small one.
B: Another brilliant choice, since it’s much smaller than normal submarines.
A: And for the last thing, I coloured the coral reef.
B: Yeah, but which part? Do you mean the part near the submarine?
A: No, I don’t mean that part. I added colour to the coral next to the starfish.
B: What colour did you use?
A: I only had one colour left, so I put purple on the coral reef. The picture looks incredible now, doesn’t it?
B: Yes, it does. You’ve done an excellent job.
A: Thanks so much, Dad.
